I also started at AFI on Tuesday. They weren't expecting me until next week for some reason, bu they started me off anyway. I think I'm really going to like it. I've had one six-hour day, which was my birthday, and it wasn't terrible. I mean, it was long, but I made it through just fine. And I've gotten compliments on my outfits every day so far! They have no idea that I'm only pretending to know how to be an adult.
What else? Oh! Today I heard from my best friend from middle school, who I haven't talked to in at least six or seven years. It was so exciting...she lives in Idaho now and has been married for three years! And she wrote this on my facebook wall, which I found hilarious...
"Hey Shannon! OMG I can't believe how long it has been since we have last talked!...I just found our old journal from middle school, do you remember when we would pass it to each other in class!!! I found a page after we went to the Backstreet Boys concert that said, I LOVE BSB!!!!! ahahah good times!!!"I sure do remember that notebook and that concert. BSB could really rock it back in the day. I was so glad to chat with her for a little bit and hear how well she and her husband are doing. I can't wait to keep in touch with her!
My sister wedding is two weeks from tomorrow...where has the time gone?! I can't wait to see my crazy family and celebrate. Oh, birthday shout out to Daniel who turns 29 today, and to their new nephew, Holden Brown, who was born on Wednesday. He and I are birthday buddies, and I can't wait to meet him at the wedding.
I can't think of anything else too exciting to share right now. Except that I am sending love out to the Cubs, in hopes they will end this slump they've been in. Now is not the time to start losing. Getting swept by the Astros is like pouring salt on an open wound to me. But way worse.
Here are some birthday pictures for you to enjoy (that I stole off of facebook from my roommate)...
I woke up to this pretty hilarious sign from my roommates...I wish you could read the captionsI really really like them
Oh just some post-birthday drink balloon volleyball playing..no big
This is not an accurate display of my amazing balloon v-ball skillz
I did not spill a single drop...like a champ.
