25 before 25

I had quite a bit of time on my hands this past month, which for me, usually leads to a lot of scheming and dreaming. That combined with my love of lists has led to this....

25 Things To Do Before I Turn 25

1. Finish graduate school and pass my licensing exam.
2. Read the whole Bible.
3. Take a photography class.
4. Get a dog.
5. Go to South America.
6. See at least 12 live music shows.
7. Cook a fancy, multi-course meal for someone.
8. Create something that someone (besides my parents) would want to display in their home.
9. Go to the Dominican Republic to visit Lindsey.
10. Find a job that I'm passionate about and that makes me excited to wake up in the morning.
11. Learn how to check my own oil and change a flat tire.
12. Drive a boat.
13. Stay up all night and watch the sun rise with friends.
14. Become an aunt.
15. Drive down the Western coast of the United States.
16. Finish a triathlon.
17. Go on a weekend prayer retreat...just me and the Big Guy.
18. Become financially independent and learn how to steward my money well.
19. Travel around Europe.
20. Keep this blog going.
21. Go to a Texans game.
22. Run a half marathon.
23. Go on the perfect date.
24. Read at least 25 books. (And re-reading Harry Potter doesn't count.)
  • The Hiding Place (ten Boom), A Praying Life (Miller), Girl Meets God (Winner), When Helping Hurts (Corbett & Finkert), Little Bee (Cleave), Let Me Be A Woman (Elliot), A Million Miles in a Thousand Years (Miller), The Bible, Heaven Is For Real (Burpo), Discipline (Elliot), Emily and Einstein (Lee), The Help (Stockett), The Hunger Games (Collins), Catching Fire (Collins), Mockingjay (Collins), Incendiary (Cleave), Sarah's Key (de Rosnay), Hunger for God (Piper), Anything (Allen)
25. Attempt to learn how to ski.

Bonus goals!
26. Work on my Spanish.
27. Go rock climbing.
28. Float down the Guadalupe (really any river will do) to see what all the fuss is about.

I realize I'm not even 23 yet, but I wanted to give myself a realistic amount of time because some of these goals will require planning. This translates into roughly 1 a month until my 25th birthday. I reserve the right to change or modify goals, but I think putting it in writing and documenting things here on the blog will be fun! (And this is an open invitation to anyone who would like to join me in doing any one of these things.)

How fun! The ones I liked the most are the ones where you are traveling. I would love to travel outside of the United States and soon we are, so I am really excited! :)

Blessings,
Maggie

I would like to participate in 4,6,7,13. And I stand by comment to 25.
I wish write my own blog was on my 25 before 25 but no one really needs to see inside my head. There's alot going on in here...even though it doesn't always seem like it.

i have some good, quick reads to help you on number 24. Things you can get done in a few days and still learn. Particularly, (after december) you should pick up Let Me Be A Woman. I've got a copy if you want it.
