Today I'm heading out for family vacation , but last night, I had birthday date with Liz. Her birthday isn't until Thursday, but since I'll be gone, I wanted to celebrate with her before I leave town. Our first stop was Lambert's, a fancy barbecue restaurant in downtown Austin. It was so delicious. It took less than 60 seconds for us to decide what we wanted to order. Seriously amazing

| The birthday girl |
| Fried green tomatoes with crab meat |
| Waffle fries and baked mac&cheese |
Brisket and pickled veggies (aka the spiciest thing I've ever put in my mouth...
it took 10 minutes of burning for my lips to feel normal) |
Then we headed over to Central Presbyterian Church right by the Capitol building to see Mat Kearney.
| The setup at Central Presby...amazing acoustics in that church |
| Here comes a series of bored waiting pictures |
| Just Mat Kearney and Tyler Markum, a couple guitars, and a piano |
| The end when they came into the crowd and did an a capella version of "I Shall Be Released"...incredible. |
Here's a video (from my phone so the quality isn't great) of MK covering "Dancing in the Dark"
Such a great night and a way to go on vacay with a bang. Definitely a favorite night with a favorite friend. Happy Birthday, Liz!
