Letters from Kenya

via
I love getting letters in the mail from anyone, but the ones I get from the little girl I sponsor through Compassion International are some of my very favorites.

Rachael Kendi (or RK as I call her in my head) lives in a country where the average family income is $4 a month, and the life expectancy is 58 (it's 78 in the US).

so cute!

RK turned 4 years old this year!  Thanks to Compassion, she will have:
  • clean water and food
  • medical care
  • education
  • and she will hear the Gospel and God's Word on a daily basis!
Right now, she can't exactly write me herself, but I look forward to exchanging letters with her for years to come.  My goal for the next year is to write at least one letter a month and send some pictures.  It's so easy and such a special relationship!  I get to pray for this little one as she grows up, and that is such an honor. Plus she prays for me too.

Sponsoring is so easy, so please consider making this a part of your holiday season!  You can also make one-time donations to some of the projects Compassion is working on all over the world.  It's so worth it!
