A-mos delightful evening

Last Friday I got to see one of my favorite musicians play at one of the most historic venues in Austin. I've been listening to Amos Lee since I heard his song "Arms of a Woman" when I was in high school. If you don't know his music, I absolutely beg you to go buy one or all of his album. Start with his very first, Amos Lee, and then try out his newest, Mission Bell. You won't regret it.

The night was made even better by my company. My classmate Brooke, her husband Bo, and my other classmate Patrick joined me for this evening filled with delicious Mexican food and top notch music. Brooke and Bo had their first dance at their wedding to his song "Sweet Pea", but Paddy had never heard his music! He is now a big fan. The opener was a guy from South Africa, which of course just made me so happy. He was wonderful.  Then Amos came on and played for over 2 hours. He played songs from every one of his albums and entertained us with his witty repartee. It was truly magical.

Thanks, Amos, for sharing your talent with Austin and Brooke, Bo, and Patrick for experiencing it with me!
