Crazed sports fan

That's how most people would describe me. I love pretty much all sports and can enjoy Sportscenter or some sporting event regardless of my interest in the outcome. But when I love a team, I LOVE that team with all my heart and soul. And when there's an important game, I get in the zone. This may or may not include:

-standing on furniture
-positioning myself 3 feet or less from the television
-lots of yelling and coaching
-and lots of conversing with the commentators, referees, players, and coaches
-victory dances
-cursing
-praying
-superstitions...like not moving an inch if the team is doing well or wearing certain things that seem to be lucky
-gratuitous tweeting
-watching replays and recaps for days after
-talking about it to anyone and everyone

So you can only imagine how crazy I got when this happened.

I straight up lost my dang mind. I was watching with my dad in Florida, and I vaguely remember doing the airplane around the entire apartment. It was hands down one of the best sporting events I have ever seen in my life. I was not joking when I said that these women are my heroes.

I love this team, and in the least arrogant way, I don't think they can be stopped. After that win against Brazil, who can stop them? Whatever happens, they played one of the most epic matches of soccer ever, all on the 12th anniversary of the final I talked about in the last post. Click here for the full highlight reel. I love this more than words can say!

You better believe that tomorrow at 10:30 AM central time, I will be parked in front of the TV. I might be wearing my USA scarf, and maybe I'll stand on some furniture too because that seems to work. I guarantee I will be cheering. Loudly.
